Hi.

I'm new to this showing lark so got a few questions and hope i don't sound too thick.

Do rabbits have to be a pure breed or can they be crosses?

And how do i get involved?

And does anyone know of any shows in Leicestershire/Derbyshire area?

Yes, the rabbits have to be purebred, but they don't have to have pedigrees. There are specific classes for crossbreeds, but those are only in the smaller shows. Sometimes you can get away with showing a crossbreed as a purebred, but thats only if the crossbreed looks like a purebred rabbit and conforms perfectly to that breed's standard. Also you need to get it tattooed or banded before you enter the show.
